So Much Going On!
From the podium to the floor to the hallways and beyond, we’ll be bringing you all of the behind the scenes action right here on the DemConvention blog. Make sure you also check out our live HD streaming video to watch the latest speakers and events going on in the Pepsi Center.
The Convention opened this morning with a great performance from the Colorado Children’s Chorale. I ran into the whole group of kids as we were passing through security this morning and they were so excited to be performing on stage at the Convention. They let me know how hard they had been practicing -- “so so so much” -- and it was a nice treat for the entire audience.
Roaming throughout the arena today, we’ve met enthusiastic delegates and supporters – in some great outfits I might add (make sure to check out the photos.) We’ve heard from DNCC CEO Leah Daughtry, Governor Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Jesse Jackson, Jr. just finished addressing the audience. If you missed any of the Convention program, just click here to visit our video player – we have clips ready to go from many of the Convention speakers.
Now for those photos…

Terrible picture of Coretta Scott King. We only saw her back and I believe you could have done much better considering the legacy she represents.

Hey Lindsay, Thanks for another inside look at the great convention. You're nailing the excitement. Yours is the first blog I've come upon that's easy to respond to. Now, can you tell me a good way to contact someone who works on the ads for Obama/Biden? An easy blog would do. I have some thoughts I'd like to share for whatever they're worth. I believe that people working so many hours in the thick of things sometimes miss opportunities.

Please make an announcement during prime time to watch the convention on cspan. I was so tired of listening to the commentators talking to hear their own voices and not really getting to see all I wanted that was happening on stage. Cspan in uninterupted.

I am so proud of the Obama's, As an Africian-American woman I feel we couldn't have better representation.
They have said without words what many have struggled to say for years. I Thank them, and praise them every chance I get. I pray for them daily. God is with them. No Weapon formed against them shall prosper.Posted by Robyn Jolly Miami, FL, 26/08/2008 9:25am (15 hours ago)

I find it interesting, don’t you, that the Obama Campaign totally took the political competition between President and Vice President out of the race with nominating an experienced Joe Biden as Vice President? So with this decision, the Obama Campaign, which says it is going to take some of the politics out of American Government, have put the focus more on issues which can also better leadership of the U.S. Presidency.
The mere choice of Biden is a wonderful American political attitude that shows leaders of other countries that the next U.S. President may also respect other experienced opinions around the world as well as Joe Biden’s.
The National Democratic Committee Convention and the choice of Joe Biden is making me excited because I think this could be a historical campaign for an administration of monumental political change. I can’t wait to hear Obama’s other Presidential Cabinet Appointments!

I see where the Republicans are trying to wreck the unity message of the convention by showing video clips of Hilary criticizing Obama. During the primaries, one of the main why she said we should vote for her was that she would know how to handle the right wing lie and smear machine. Well Senator Clinton, show us what you can do.
