The New DemConvention.com

Welcome to the new online home of the Democratic National Convention Committee. We've been working hard to put together a site that engages new communities, provides up-to-the-minute news, generates interest and fuels enthusiasm around this great Convention.

But this is only the beginning. In the coming months, we'll expand the site and offer even more resources for anyone interested in getting involved. During Convention week, www.demconvention.com will become a go-to resource for delegates, media and other Convention attendees as well as a place for Democrats and netroots activists all across the country to become part of the Denver experience. Visitors to the website can now sign up to receive regular updates on Convention news, events and other developments, so make sure to do that if you haven't already.

Another great improvement on our site is the increased accessibility. We're proud to announce, the site now includes substantial Spanish-language content, bringing more people into the Convention experience than ever before. You can read what the Denver Business Journal had to say about our new site by clicking here.

  • Hi Shelley,

The speaker schedule for the Convention isn't set in stone until much further along in the planning process. If you would like to see some of the speeches from prior Conventions, take a look at our "historic video" page here: http://www.demconvention.com/dncc-historic-video/

  • Hi Rick,

We only deal with providing housing to delegates, the media and members of the Democratic family. If you have a house that you would like to rent out, we've heard that other folks are using sites like Craigslist.

  • Is the schedule for the DNC posted somewhere? Which evening will the Presidential Candidate be elected? Also, will activites during the DNC be broadcast on-line at this site?

  • Hi, I'm italian.
The demconvention website looks really interesting! It shows a lot of things that we don't see in italian TV news, for example the efforts made to organize everything with respect for the environment. I'd like to be there in August, but I've read that the convention is only for delegates and not for the public. What a shame! Anyway, good luck to everyone.

  • For our Americans living overseas, I think our voices should be heard. I think at times the blah blah is too loud. Lets really get with the issues and not point fingers at each other. It makes us look bad to do a smear campaign.

  • Is there a central place where housing can be listed? I have a house open to visitors with pets. Not sure where to list it. Thanks.

  • I'm writing in hopes that super delegates will take note.....

Please get over yourselves and vote the way of the American People. If the majority are for Obama, then keep the party together and give the people who voted for Obama their wish.

If the majority vote for Clinton, then cast your vote in the same manner.

If super delegates are different than the delegates acquired when a majority of votes is cast in that particular state, then you should be waiting to cast your vote or pledge your vote.

It's not about you. You were selected to be a super delegate as a guardian if you will. You are there to make sure that the vote is fair and that the wish of the majority is heard. It's not about you. You are not there to CHANGE THE POPULAR/MAJORITY VOTE.

If you are so concerned about your individual vote, then you should have never accepted the position/title of super delegate.

You will divide the Democratic party like nothing you have ever imagined. The majority must be able to have their selection made.

If you wish the Republicans to stay in office, then proceed as so many of you have stated on television......"that you have committed and your word is your word"......ridiculous!!!!!!

Many of you DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR ROLE. It's not about INDIVIDUAL POWER, it's about protecting the majority vote.

    Concerned citizen.
